So the girlfriend has flown off, marking the beginning of a two month absence. We have the technological age to thank for bridging the geographical divide, regardless if these communications are truly dehumanizing or not.
Spent the night doing up a personalized layout for this blog. and feeling pretty proud of myself I must say!
I dare say that only a very small handful of my friends are still blogging. It is almost as if the blogging age had come to an end, for friends in my age group that is. Or maybe blogging has lost its appeal, with twitter and facebook leading the pact with the new concept of micro-blogging. Its all about short, spontaneous remarks now. Less prose, more spontaneity.
But I guess the appeal of prose-blogging is still there. It gives the average teenager the avenue to hone his creativity and flair for writing. You become a mini publisher of your own work. You take responsibility of your own thoughts and actions, through which, you also begin to understand yourself better.
But for now, the main catalyst why I’m back is so the girlfriend has a platform to find out what’s happening for me in Singapore, and then, London.
Stay tuned!
