Just watched The Social Network and I think it was a really good film. Coming from a management school, I can imagine many of my programming friends who would love to watch a film that they can really relate to - even be inspired from. Afterall, this is based on a true story and anyone is able to set up a dotcom. The only question is - do they have the verve and competency to come up with the next big thing.

In a meritocratic society like Singapore, I think people tend to play it safe, and take the trodden path. Tolerance for risk taking in here is really low. Such is the culture take I live in. Singapore badly needs a culture that tolerates 9000 bankrupts each year to find the next billionaire.
